Where we work

One locally owned company, seven cities.

Ductman HVAC is a locally owned heating and cooling company based at 4978 Euclid Road in Virginia Beach. We serve Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, and Newport News, for both homes and businesses.

Everywhere we work, the approach is the same: diagnose the whole system, explain the options in plain English, and repair what can be repaired. Our technicians are paid for their workmanship, not their sales.

We don’t take in-office appointments. We come to you.

City by city

What we’re called for most in each city.

Hampton Roads isn’t one housing market. The HVAC systems in a Hilton Village cottage, a Suffolk farmhouse, and a Great Bridge subdivision have very little in common.

  • Virginia Beach

Bayside, Kempsville, Great Neck, Oceanfront, Red Mill, Pungo

Our home base. Crawlspace ductwork in older central neighborhoods, coastal wear on outdoor equipment, and geothermal toward Pungo.

  • Chesapeake

Greenbrier, Great Bridge, Western Branch, Deep Creek, Hickory

Older subdivisions with crawlspace duct in the north, acreage and geothermal in the south.

  • Norfolk

Ghent, Larchmont, Colonial Place, Ocean View, East Beach

Historic homes heated by boilers, radiators, and Apollo systems, plus crawlspace homes near the bay.

  • Portsmouth

Olde Towne, Port Norfolk, Cradock, Churchland

Older homes with a century of heating and cooling layered into them, and an active resale market.

  • Suffolk

North Suffolk, Driver, Chuckatuck, Holland, Whaleyville

Rural properties with oil heat, geothermal, and package units, often beyond natural gas service.

  • Hampton

Phoebus, Buckroe, Fox Hill, Wythe, Northampton

Low-lying waterfront neighborhoods where storms and flooding affect HVAC, and older homes inland.

  • Newport News

Hilton Village, North End, Denbigh, Kiln Creek

Compact historic homes with little room for ductwork, and subdivisions with aging original systems.

Why local matters

Every city has its own kind of house.

Most HVAC companies treat Hampton Roads as one market with one set of answers. But the region’s housing was built over more than a century, on land that ranges from low coastal crawlspaces to rural acreage beyond the gas lines.

That changes what we look for on every call. In a 1960s Virginia Beach ranch, it’s the crawlspace ductwork. In a Ghent house, it’s whether anyone has looked after the boiler. In rural Suffolk, it’s whether gas even reaches the road before anyone quotes a conversion. In Hampton, it’s what the last storm did.

Knowing the house before we arrive is part of diagnosing it honestly.

  • Everyone was respectful, a pleasure to work with, and they got the job done in a timely fashion with a great quality of work. My house heats even better now than before. 10/10 I absolutely recommend them.

  • Furnace went out on what seems like the coldest day so far this year. Chris answered our call and promptly sent out a technician to review the issue and provide an estimate. They were able to order and install the part quickly for a reasonable price. I would definitely call them again if we had another HVAC issue.
